About Us | Engagement Methodology
InterLAN Consulting follows a collaborative approach in all of its engagements. Our consultants work in tandem with client’s internal IT resources, relying on their knowledge of the organization, business processes, and existing infrastructure. This also allows us to do knowledge transfer that will help corporate IT staff to support the new solution. We partner with other experienced consultants—who adhere to our core values—when we need additional resources for larger projects, or when we need to tackle other areas of expertise for multidiscipline projects.
A typical network security or infrastructure project will be comprised of the following phases, performed in tandem with and approved by the customer throughout the project lifecycle:
• Define project objectives, deliverables, resources and timelines • Assess, audit, inventory and document existing environment • High-level design and budgetary pricing • Detailed design and pricing • Test environment and proof-of-concept • Pilot site implementation • Full deployment • Documentation and knowledge transfer • On-going support and change-control
Besides the technical aspects of the project, we can also include project management, project communications and budget management as part of our service.
While InterLAN Consulting is based in Toronto, Canada, we can make our services available anywhere in Canada, United States, or around the world.
Financials Our fees are charged on a time and material basis, and the rates are based on the type, location and duration of engagement. To maintain our vendor-independence, we do not resell hardware, software or third party services, but we can aggregate the fees of all consultants we involved in the engagement. Rates and payment terms are negotiated on an individual basis.
