3Com Canada
• Assist in writing RFP responses.

AC Nielsen
• Develop and deliver a seminar on Internet security.

Archer Enterprise Systems (a Siebel company)
• Implement VPN server for secure Intranet access over the Internet.

Bank of Montreal
• Design and implement an SSL VPN solution as part of bank's pandemic-readiness initiative to support up to 20,000 concurrent remote users with a fully-redundant multisite clustered SSL VPN solution.

BF Goodrich
• Implement fiber-based campus LAN at one of company's manufacturing plants.

Cara Operations
• Design and implement fault tolerant head office LAN utilizing 100 mbps switched Ethernet VLANs and resilient links;
• Deploy HP OpenView and 3Com Transcend network management platforms.

CGU Group
• Issue and manage a communications RFP, for the consolidation of company's many telecommunications services and service providers. The RFP resulted in multi-million dollar annual savings.

Chartwell Seniors Housing
Design and implement a security solutuion including firewall, intrusion protection and remote access with SSL VPN and endpoint security assessment.

Club Monaco (a Polo Ralph Lauren company)
• Design and implement Internet connection, VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewall and proxy server to support general Internet access, internal SMTP host and secure (VPN) connectivity with international branch offices.

CN Tower
• Design, implement and support a security infrastructure and a fully redundant 10 Gigabit Local Area Network spanning the full hight of CN Tower. Implemented in early 2008, the network held the record as the world's talest 10 Gigabit network.

Colliers International
• Issue an RFP to determine the feasibility of migrating company's Frame Relay network to VPN.

Compaq Canada
• Assist Compaq Network and System Integration Services Group in a number of network design and implementation projects for their customers.

Digital Equipment of Canada
• Network Consulting services for Digital's customers;
• Implement Canadian portion of Digital's worldwide X.500 namespace services;
• On-going expansion and management of Canada-wide Local and Wide Area Networks.

Dylex Limited
• Establish IPSec-based VPN for Extranet connection to a business partner;
• Network design and setup to support company relocation from one to multiple new buildings;
• Upgrade the network to a Layer 3 switched Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure;
• Design and implement Internet connection, DNS and Firewall to support secure employee Internet access;
• Establish secure extranet connections with Dylex business partners;
• Design and deploy a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to establish connectivity with remote users and hundreds of Dylex stores across Canada;
• Establish HP OpenView and 3Com Transcend network management platform;
• Design a cost-effective ISDN-based Point-of-Sale technology and network architecture to support traditional credit/debit authorization and sale transactions, as well as new Client-Server applications;
• Provide on-going network support, troubleshooting and upgrade services to support Dylex LAN and WAN networks;
• Significantly improve network performance, reliability and manageability through evaluation, selection and implementation of a fault-tolerant FDDI, router and switch-based backbone in 1993.

EDS Canada
• Assist EDS Canada with the transition of Ontario Government network infrastructure to a 2-tier outsourced model.

Equitable Insurance Life Co.
• Measure, analyze and document network requirements, perform network design to support custom groupware applications, as part of the corporate BPR (Business Processes Re-engineering) project.

Hudson's Bay
• Use Sniffer protocol analyzer to analyze application traffic requirements, develop a security policy and deploy a CheckPoint firewall for Hudson's Bay e-Commerce site http://www.hbc.com.



   

Ian Martin
• Migrate from a Frame Relay network to a VPN to interconnect all branch offices across Canada;
• Design and implement Extranet connection with a business partners;
• Provide on-going network support for VPN, and Local and Wide Area Networks across Canada.

IMG
• Due diligence of company's technical infrastructure and core technology for a venture capital group of investors.

IOF Foresters
• Design and assist with the deployment of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to provide secure network connectivity with dozens of branch offices and 1000 remote users;
• Develop Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and other documentation to support the new network.

Laurentian University
• Design campus fiber optic network to deliver new applications and capabilities to students and faculty staff.

McLean Budden
• Design, deploy and support a new local area network;
• Design, deploy and support a VPN network connecting the Head Office with remote branch offices, telecommuters and business partners.

Onex Corporation
• Design and deploy a fully fault-tolerant LAN and WAN network to support Onex' DRP (Disaster Recovery Project) requirements;
• Design, deploy and support a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and a firewall, to support secure Internet access and secure remote connectivity with branch offices and remote users;
• Design, deploy and support Local Area Networks (LAN) in all company locations;
• Provide on-going network management and support.

Ontario Provincial Government
• Participate in Ontario Government-wide INP (Integrated Network Project), assisting with the migration of all government LAN/WAN/RAS/DMZ networks to EDS-managed outsourced network environment. Manage the INP transition for the Ministry of Community and Social Services, including development of new change and incident management processes, knowledge transfer, project communications and project management activities;
• Manage the design of a custom application to automate the management of all LAN switches throughout the province. The application automates inventory, password maintenance and software upgrades for hundreds of network devices;
• Deploy HP OpenView network management system to manage all ministry LAN and WAN networking devices;
• Design and deploy fault-tolerant WAN and Internet access utilizing the M-HSRP protocol;
• Design and establish NT WINS and DNS infrastructure;
• Migrate the ministry from hub-based LANs to Layer 3 Fast Ethernet LANs;
• Migrate the ministry from SNA and X.25 networks to routed multi-protocol IP/DECnet network;
• Migrate the ministry from a Mux-based terminal network to private DECnet/X.25 network;
• Represent the ministry on various cross-ministry projects;
• Train internal support staff;
• Assist with troubleshooting complex network problems.

Ontario Telemedicine Network
• A 2-year engagement as a Lead Technical Architect, responsible for all technical aspects of the merger of three independent telemedicine organizations into a uniform 600-site network supporting 1100 high-end videoconferencing systems. Areas of responsibilitiy included a $6mil technology migration budget, hiring and managing a team 30-consultants, defining the architecture to address videoconferencing, network, security, server, application and IT Service Management requirements and managing the project through the completion of the merger.

Prescient International
• Assist Prescient in a number of network design, implementation and troubleshooting projects.

Royal Bank Dominion Securities
• Network operating costs reduction and budget stabilization through the implementation of a private Canada-wide network at over 70 locations.

Signature Vacations
• Install and configure Cisco routers.

T4G Limited
• Design, deploy and manage an outsourced VPN service for T4G customers;
• Design, implement and support a hosted tourism websites for British Columbia and New Brunswick provincial governments, including a fully redundant firewall, VPN and LAN infrastructure;
• A multitude of network and security design, implementation and support projects for T4G and T4G's customers.
